Come join us for a beautiful morning hike to the top of Stanley Peak via Creek Crossing Trail.  

Distance and Time Expectation: 6.0 mile out and back which takes about 3 hours to complete .

• Dogs are welcome to join us on this trail.
• Parking:
  • La Honda Dr. Parking lot
  • 2197-2253 La Honda Dr, Escondido, CA 92027
  • (At the end La Honda Dr.  )
• Where to meet:  We will be meeting in the main parking lot. Look for the white CalCPA sign!
• What to Bring:  
  • Bring as much water as you feel you need.  
    • For fun facts about water look up books by Masaru Emoto 
  • Appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.  
    • The weather is usually sunny with the temperature starting out mildly crisp and refreshing in the morning and becomes quite warm as the Sun gets higher.  
  • Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.) 
    • We love how beneficial the sun is for our health, but we still need to be mindful of its power to burn, please bring appreciate sun protection. 
  • Challenge Level:   
    • This is a moderately challenging hike due to the distance and incline. The trail is well marked and maintained.  
  • Things to be mindful of: 
    • The temperature should be cool early in the morning and then will continue to get warmer as the sun gets higher in the sky.
    • Arriving early so the group can hike together. If you arrive late and no one is at the trailhead, catch up!
