Come join us for the next CalActive Adventure! We will be exploring Mount Woodson and it’s beloved Potato Chip Rock. One of the most notable hiking landmarks in San Diego County.

Dogs are welcome but need to be on a leash.
Parking:
- There is free parking all along Route 67
- Park near Mt. Woodson Trail via CA-67
- 16310 CA-67, Ramona CA 92065
Where to meet:
- We will be meeting at the Mt. Woodson Trail via CA-67 Trailhead.
- Use the CalActive WhatsApp group to communicate day of.
What to Bring:
- Bring as much water as you feel you need.
- Appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather - the weather is usually sunny with the temperature starting out crisp and refreshing in the morning and becomes quite hot as the sun rises. You may want to wear light layers that you can take off as the temperature increases.)
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.) - we love how beneficial the sun is for our health, but we still need to be mindful of its power to burn, please bring appreciate sun protection.
Challenge Level: a moderate 4.1 mile hike, which is paved.
Things to be mindful of:
- The temperature should be warm/moderate early in the morning and then will continue to get hotter as the sun gets higher in the sky.
- Arriving early so the group can stretch and hike together. If you arrive late and no one is at the trailhead, catch up!
