Come join us for a beautiful morning stroll through the Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve. We will enjoy an easy trail walk to a beautiful waterfall that will be in full force after the recent rainstorms. This trail is kept in very good condition.

Important Information:

Dogs are welcome to join us on this trail.

Parking: We will be meeting at the parking lot at the beginning of the Los Penasquitos Canyon, Camino Ruiz Trailhead. Put “Camino Ruiz Trail” or Camino Ruiz Park” into your GPS and it will bring you to the parking lot.

Where to meet: We will be meeting at the beginning of the trail head.

What to Bring:

• Bring as much water as you feel you need. For fun facts about water look up books by Masaru Emoto
• Appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather - the weather is usually sunny with the temperature starting out mildly crisp and refreshing in the morning and becomes quite warm as the Sun gets higher.
• Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.) - we love how beneficial the sun is for our health, but we still need to be mindful of its power to burn, please bring appreciate sun protection.

Challenge Level: This is an easy hike with minimal inclines. The trail is well marked and maintained.

Things to be mindful of:

• The temperature should be cool early in the morning and then will continue to get warmer as the sun gets higher in the sky.
• Arriving early so the group can stretch and hike together. If you arrive late and no one is at the trailhead, catch up!
