California Department of Education School Fiscal Services Division staff will provide updates on significant new education program funding, programs affected by the recent changes to the Audit Guide, the Standardized Account Code Structure (SACS) Web-based Financial Reporting System, recent SACS account code updates, and the next update of the California School Accounting Manual.
The SCO’s update will include an overview of the changes to required audit procedures for fiscal year (FY) 2022-23 and FY 2023-24 in the K-12 Audit Guide, and an overview of the local educational agencies (LEAs) and School Facilities Program report certification process, report certification statistics, and common report deficiencies.
