The November midterm election is just around the corner and there are 14 propositions on the California ballot that affect all of us. Ballot language can be confusing and hard to understand on your own. That is exactly why we put this together.
CalCPA YEPs is hosting Capitol Beat | October 2026 featuring Jason Fox, VP, Advocacy and Public Affairs at CalCPA.
This is a special session designed to give students and early career professionals the actual background information behind the key propositions on the November 3 California ballot so they can make an informed decision when they vote.
Jason will cover:- The close of California's legislative session and key bills signed or vetoed by the Governor- The 14 California ballot propositions and what they mean for you and your community- How CalCPA shapes policy through its advocacy work and how to get involved
This is not about telling anyone how to vote. This is about making sure they have the information they need to make their own decision.
This event is open to students and Young Emerging Professionals (YEPs), and anyone working in the field. No background in politics or policy needed.
Live Q&A at the end. No CPE offered for this session.
