Biotech financing accounting roundtable, -initial organizational meeting

CalCPA is exploring the formation of a recurring community for accounting and finance professionals working in biotech and life sciences. This initial virtual meeting will be informal and interactive, with a goal of bringing people together, identifying topics of common interest, and determining whether there is enough interest to establish an ongoing group.

Potential future sessions could include topics such as raising capital and IPO readiness, legal and governance issues unique to biotech companies, intellectual property from the CFO’s perspective, clinical trial accounting, and patient cost accrual, financing strategy, licensing and collaboration agreements, and other issues that finance professionals encounter in the life science industry.

Just as important, we want to hear from participants: what issues would be most useful to discuss? What outside experts would you like to hear from? What challenges would benefit from exchanging ideas with peers?
