Clairemont Mesa to Visitor Center Loop:
Embark on a breathtaking morning trail journey from Clairemont Mesa to the Visitor Center nestled in the heart of San Diego. This popular trail not only offers stunning scenic views but also provides a haven for birdwatching. In the refreshing morning air we can immerse ourselves in the beauty of nature. It's the perfect way to start your day, connecting with the outdoors and friendly people.
- Dogs are welcome to join us on this trail.
- Parking: There is parking in the dirt lot and along the street where we will begin at the Mission Trails Regional Park, Tierrasanta entrance. Put “Mission Trails Clairemont Mesa Trail head” into your GPS and it will bring you to the parking lot.
- Where to meet: We will be meeting at the beginning of the trail head.
- What to Bring: Bring as much water as you feel you need. For fun facts about water look up books by Masaru Emoto. Appropriate clothing/footwear for the weather.
- The weather is usually sunny with the temperature starting out mildly crisp and refreshing in the morning and becomes quite warm as the Sun gets higher. There may be areas with some water to cross.
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc.) We love how beneficial the sun is for our health, but we still need to be mindful of its power to burn, please bring appreciate sun protection.
- Challenge Level: This is a moderately challenging hike with some inclined areas and will take a little over two hours to complete.
- Things to be mindful of: The temperature should be cool early in the morning and then will continue to get warmer as the sun gets higher in the sky.
- Once you register, we will send you a invitation to be added to our WhatsApp “CalCPA Hiking Group” to be included on any important updates and future hikes
- Arriving early so the group can stretch and hike together. If you arrive late and no one is at the trailhead, catch up!
