CPA Day is CalCPA's annual event to kick-off its advocacy efforts for the upcoming legislative year. A legislative summit was added to the meeting schedule to allow for a platform for members to hear from a variety of panels on a wide-range of policy issues. We encourage CalCPA members to attend this free event to help increase the visibility of the profession in the political arena.

CPA Day at the Capitol Wednesday, January 17th in Sacramento is a great opportunity to meet and develop relationships with elected legislators and inform them of the important issues facing the CPA profession.

Tentative schedule for the day:

• Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m. at the SAFE Convention Center, 1401 K Street. 
• Continental breakfast at 8:00 a.m.
• Legislative Summit 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
• Boxed Lunches 11:30am
• Legislative meetings - 12:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
• Dress attire for the day is "business."
• Be sure to bring your business cards.
• You may also want to bring an umbrella as there is the potential for rain in Sacramento at this time of year.

Please be advised that due to space constraints in legislative offices attendees may be limited to 1-2 legislative meetings.
